In my mind, the holy grail of spring reverbs are the ones found in Fender amps like the Deluxe Reverb or the Twin and so on. These units are tube-driven and of course incorporate a spring-loaded tank. They have a very lush sound that truly enhances your tone. So, with that in mind, a Fender 6G15 unit would be the ideal solution to all reverb-related issues. However, those things are quite bulky and, because of the tank, somewhat fragile. This is where the Hermida Reverb comes in. It utilizes a Belton/Accutronics brick that emulates the sound of a real spring tank. At first i was skeptical about it but after testing the pedal i can say that it is a very, very good approximation. The reverb sounds produced are very natural and lush - pretty much like the real thing. So, hats off to Hermida for a very cool pedal!
